Prysmian Group (Italy) is one of the largest cable manufacturers in the field of energy, construction, transport, telecommunications, mining, etc. Founded back in 1879, the company currently owns more than 80 factories (including in Latvia), has about 50 divisions in different countries of the world. 17 research and development centers are engaged in the development and testing of new engineering solutions, the constant contribution to innovation and their application in order to improve technological parameters is a fundamental factor for the growth and development of the brand in the global market.
Prysmian Group has the widest variety of cable products. At all stages of activity, from the purchase of raw materials to the release of goods, the strictest quality control, mandatory certification and testing are carried out. This approach is the key to the success of the company and makes an undeniable contribution to maintaining a leading position on the world stage. All manufactured cable products comply with Latvian and international standards, are environmentally safe and reliable in operation.
Prysmian power cables (Prisman) are divided into the following subgroups:
- low voltage cables to work with equipment with nominal values from 50 - 1000 V AC or from 75 to 1500 DC, in the range of both flexible and rigid models;
- medium voltage cables for use with ratings from 1 kV, various types of insulation EPR, PVC, XLPE and HPTE, rigid core, stranded copper or aluminum in various variations, armored and unarmored models;
- new P-Laser technology (medium voltage cable), the use of thermoplastic and environmentally friendly materials, this line is more resistant to high temperatures than standard cables (increase in the operating range by more than 20%);
- cables with improved mechanical protection (shock absorber - air cushion), a new design that absorbs the kinetic energy of impact, is implemented in single-core and multi-core versions;
- high-temperature power cable for overhead power lines, designed for the modernization of old communications, allows you to increase the current load by 1.5-2 times just by replacing the conductors. The core design uses a special alloy with a very low thermal expansion coefficient and a super stable material for the conductive layer;
- intelligent networks (Smart Grid).
