BEI Sensor was formed in 2010 by merging subsidiaries of BEI Industrial Encoders, BEI Ideacod and BEI Duncan Electronics. The merger of the companies allowed the manufacturer to reach a new level due to the synergistic effect. As a result, the range of equipment was significantly expanded and competition between structures was eliminated, a new production program built on the principle of industry segmentation allowed the manufacturer to close the customer's need for previously unproduced equipment, technical support and service were centralized.

BEI Sensor product range includes the following equipment:

  • incremental and absolute encoders;
  • optical angular movement sensors;
  • control panels and interface modules;
  • rotary and linear displacement sensors;
  • potentiometers and Hall sensors;
  • wireless communication modules.

Depending on the operating modes and environmental conditions, sensors are classified into subgroups:

  • encoders and sensors for operation in aggressive environments;
  • encoders with high radial loads;
  • measuring instruments with extended temperature range (<0°C..>70°C);
  • encoders with increased safety requirements;
  • high vibration and shock load encoders;
  • devices for high-humidity and polluted environments;
  • devices for explosive environments.

BEI Sensor's industry specialization covers the following industries:

  • equipment for the metallurgical and mining industry;
  • measuring sensors for electric motors and electric drives;
  • sensors for agricultural, construction and portable equipment;
  • measuring sensors for warehouse equipment, handling equipment, cranes, elevators, conveyors;
  • solutions for the oil and gas industries;
  • encoders for wind turbines.
